History of the Mining Communities
Welcome to the Lands of Wolfram and Tin!
Here there is a community of generations of miners who, for over a century, have been extracting minerals from deep within the earth which, once treated, turn into these two metals.
W74 (wolfram) and Sn50 (tin) are names, acronyms and numbers that, behind the coldness of their technical and scientific meaning, conceal heritage, ways of life and stories that are particularly rich and intense here, many of which are very present in the community, even for those who are no longer involved in mining, but continue to carry the mining memories of their ancestors; some of them tragic, others somewhat picaresque, of sudden enrichment, but all of them uplifting a sense of camaraderie, cemented in the depths of the mines and in the conviviality of these villages, which are still very isolated today
